Connection Problem

Hi There,

I have a problem in configuring the NETFLOW.

I give the IP of my router and give the Community String as PRIVATE but it does not connect and gives a message "A connection could not be made to the specific device.Ensure that you have network access to the device and the credentials are correct"

I am using the cisco router RV042.

Note:I m not directly connected to the router but through an access point\switch.

SNMP & NetFlow are two different technologies and one does not assume the other. You can check on the Cisco site which of their devices currently support NetFlow. You could then replace that router with a NetFlow capable router.

Depending on your topology, there is another option. You could put a NetFlow capable device behind your router (but then only using one of its 4 ports) and this could be either a NetFlow capable router or a Windows box running nProbe or similar.
