Can you expand on your question? Yes we added support for running on 2008 is 9.5 and 2008 R2 in 10.0.

There is a big difference between "supported" and fully compatible. Are there any issues or extra considerations when running 2008?
To be even more blunt, it is easy to run this on 2008 or is it a pain in the ****?
The last time I tried it, while it was supported it was a pain in the **** and I ended up rebuilding with 2003.

Yes it is completely supported. With the intro of UAC and the extra security settings in 2008 and 2008 R2, permission are a lot tighter than say 2003, but we have supported 2008 for over a year now.
