    Monitoring devices behind NAT

      Hi ,

I need to monitor a device which is on NAT IP behind a cisco router.

Can anyone help me on this.

      Thanks in advance.

I do this all the time.  What you need to do is assign a single NATed IP address on the firewall/edge device for the device being monitored.  You can not us an IP pool unless you do a PAT and only want to monitor a single device.  Once the NAT is setup just add the device using the NAT IP address.  Make sure that you allow both ICMP and SNMP to access the device....

          Hope this helps
