IP Subnet scans freezing

I run into this quite often too. The scans get hung up. I cancel the subnet scan that is hung, then all the other scans go through without a hitch.

We have a fix for this planned in the next release.

What is the next Release?  I also see this issue and I am running IPAM 1.6.0.

This is not acceptable, please let us know which service or process is responsible for this subnet scanning.

This way we can schedule a task to stop and start this Service/Process on a daily basis, just in case it freezes again.

We experience this issue also.  Is it possible that there is too many subnets in "queue"?

Unfortunately, this isn't a valid workaround; there isn't a single service that you can start and stop for subnet scanning.  This issue will be fixed in the next release of IPAM.

We achieved great results by changing subnet scan times from hours to days.  Now no more than 50 subnets are in "queue" as before we would have 1500.

Before the change the scans would freeze every few days (there would be 50 pages of subnets in "queue") while we now have not had a freeze in two weeks.

I'll give that a try. I dont really want to change the scan times, as I like that it scan every 4 hours, but if keeps it from stopping the scans all together, its worth a shot. At lest until SW resolves this in the next release.

Unfortunately, our scan's locked up again, with scan times as high as 7 days and without subnets in queue...
