ASA Connection via Terminal Server Issue:

Hi,

I have got an issue here with ASA Firewalls. I am running ASA 5550 with version 7.2(3) and all devices are connected through Terminal Server. I am able to get to all devices those behind and before the ASA devices itself.

But I can't run the activities to either log onto the ASA Firewalls or perform any activity on it. The error says "Did not receive Login entry prompt from Cisco ASA" and for other firewall it says "Did not receive Login entry prompt from CiscotermServ after CR".

Any help?

Hi Saad - I think you have the same issue as this gentleman - and you'll want to open a support ticket.

Thanks for your reply Christine. Well the issue I have got is a little different. The difference is I am using reverse telnet. I have seen issues on the forum with SSH but not with telnet. The way I am doing telnet is through a Terminal Server.
But I can manage the devices before and after ASA firewalls through the terminal servers. I can do backup, and all related activities on them. I can also get to the ASA devices by clicking the telnet button on the device form. But can't run any activity through CAT Tools on ASA.
If I try, it display the message "Did not receive VTY entry prompt from CiscoTermServ after CR". But if I click the telnet tab from the device form, it does prompt me for Username:. The problem is we can't bypass the terminal server because how the routing has been set up.

How can I open a support ticket for this please.
