You can deploy the NTA module and get CBQoS stats from any CBQoS interface without enabling NetFlow export. NetFlow can be applied carefully to help you understand the nature of your traffic issues without impacting the traffic. Check out this paper on NetFlow Deployment.

So does this mean there is no way to do this in NPM? I understand how NTA will help us do it but at this point in time netflow on the routers is not an option. So if there is a way to get this info via snmp that would be great.

The NTA module does retrieve CBQoS data via SNMP and has CBQoS resources built into views. You can use it to for CBQoS only if you want, there is no need to enable NetFlow on the routers.

We're using this Custom Poller on our 2800's to see the bps Policy Map Usage:

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.166.1.15.1.1.11

The bit rate of the traffic after executing QoS
 policies.

we are able to monitor stats also from the cbqos mib, the problem is that the output is in the form of object.id's instead of class-map names. for e.g. 

when we poll the oid you refenced to, npm will make a graph using the oid on the router

This is not useful when you dont know what it belongs to, in our case it belongs to rtp. So we wanted to find a way to map these different tables in the cbqos mib to get a human readable result.

How did you guys get around this issue?

I think that is where the JOIN function is needed to relate data from the CBQoS MIB and the CBP Target MIB.

where is the JOIN function, is it in NPM?

Table JOINs are used internally in NPM but not a feature of UnDP today, which probably is where you need it.

i have a script on my router that does all the cross table matching for me, is something like this possible in NPM? Can you manually specify names for each filed in the get result column? for e.g. if we have three class-maps applied to a policy-map and the poller gives us this output

34.2323232 - 300mbps

34.2324555 - 100mbps

34.5678543 - 200mbps

Can we manually change these name (object.id's) to something thats Human readeable?

rtp - 300mbps

sip - 100mbps

class-default - 200mbps
