Network Device Monitor and PIX 506E

    mbrooks

Hello All- Downloaded and want to try Network Device Monitor. Testing on a Pix 506E v6.3(5). Cannot get Device Monitor to recognize SNMP community string. The problem _may_ lie with the "Credential Set Name" field as I do not know exactly what this is so I left it as the default "public." On Pix configured snmp-server community <string> and matched <string> in the "Community String" field in Network Device Monitor (I also used the default "public" on the Pix initially). I click the "Test" button and get a message back "Test Failed: Timeout." I can ping the Pix from the workstation, for good measure I enabled snmp-server traps on the Pix. Any ideas?

      Many thanx in advance.
