    Loading MIBS.cfg on Server 2008

      All,

I have Orion NPM running on Server 2008 and I cannot find the MIBS.cfg file.  NPM runs just fine but I went to update the MIBS.cfg file, the README says to replace the MIBS.cfg file and I have searched the entire computer and am unable to find the file.

I placed the downloaded MIBS.cfg into c:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\ but see no difference in my MIB tree.

Basically, I am trying to get a Dantel mib running and had input a trouble ticket to Solarwinds to input the Dantel MIBS.  I think this has been completed but still do not see the OID's in my MIB tree.

      Can anyone help me?

          Hi gr8matt-

I have few questions for you:

          • What version of NPM are you running?
          • When did you download the .cfg file?
          • When you downloaded it, did you extract it or simply open it?

Let me know so we can help you get an answer.

          M

            • What version of NPM are you running?
            • v9.5.1

            • When did you download the .cfg file?
            • I downloaded the file last Tuesday (April 6, 2010)

            • When you downloaded it, did you extract it or simply open it?
            • I extracted it and put the MIBS.cfg into the Programdata\Solarwinds\ directory.

I did not replace a file because there was no MIBS.cfg in that directory when I put the file in.  I did a complete hard drive search for MIBS.cfg and it did not find the file (except after I put it there).
