Unable to monitor ADIC tape library drives

I added an ADIC tape library (Quantum Scalar i500) to Orion NPM v 9.5.1. While adding it Orion did not discover the tape drives present in it. I mainly wanted to monitor those drive status. Is it possible?

Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

  • Hi,

you need a UdP to monitor SNMP:

You can poll the following variables to obtain information about the RAS subsystem on the library.

    Power Status

    Name: powerStatus

    Type: OBJECT-TYPE

    OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3764.1.10.10.12

    Name: coolingStatus

    Type: OBJECT-TYPE

    OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3764.1.10.10.12.2

    Name: controlStatus

    Type: OBJECT-TYPE

    OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3764.1.10.10.12.3

    Name: connectivityStatus

    Type: OBJECT-TYPE

    OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3764.1.10.10.12.4

    Name: roboticsStatus

    Type: OBJECT-TYPE

    OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3764.1.10.10.12.5

    Name: mediaStatus

    Type: OBJECT-TYPE

    OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3764.1.10.10.12.6

    Name: driveStatus

    Type: OBJECT-TYPE

    OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3764.1.10.10.12.7

    Name: operatorActionRequest

    Type: OBJECT-TYPE

    OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.3764.1.10.10.12.8

  • Hi,

I also have a Quantum Scalar i500 tape library; the OID's above don't seem to return valid data.

I've attached the .mib file - is there any way to get it imported to the UDP?

    Thanks
