Forum how would i convert a node from SNMP to ICMP?

how would i convert a node from SNMP to ICMP?

i've always been able to convert a node in Orion from being ICMP to become SNMP - no problem there - but i can't seem to do the opposite. does anyone have any idea?

other than deleting and rediscovering it as only ICMP.

the dropdown in Manage Nodes does not present ICMP as a choice only the three SNMP versions.

I see what you mean. Once the device has been discovered by snmp the check box you normally get when adding a new node "ICMP Only" is gone. That's a good question.

I would also like to see this implemented. There have been a couple of times where I've needed to do this and had to delete the original device, then re-add it as an ICMP device.
