Hi Masashi - we haven't seen any issues with CatTools on Windows 2008 R2 - but it isn't officially supported yet. It is on our list of "What we're working on...." You can see that full list here. If you do go ahead and do the install - please let us know if you find any issues or problems. Thanks a bunch!

I couldn't use kiwi-cattools on windows 2008 server.
Please teach me about kiwi-cattools-system-requirements again.
There is no additional infomation.
But I couldn't telnet from KIWICattools by device right click.
There isn't telnet.exe on windows2008 server by default install.
I think KIWICattools need telnet-client at least.
Please teach me how to install kiwicattools on windows 2008 server.
I would like to know about system-requirements detail of windows2008 server.
Please advice me.
Hi Masashi - could you tell me, are you using the R2 version of Windows 2008 server?
With regards to your question about the ‘telnet’ button, check out this knowledge base article: http://www.kiwisyslog.com/kb/error:-telnet-button-does-not-work/
CatTools itself does not use the default windows client that the ‘telnet’ button uses. It instead uses its own client that is embedded within the product, therefore even if the default telnet client doesn’t work (as it won't unless you have installed it), CatTools should still be able to run fine.
Please let me know if this helps,
Thank you very much for your all cooperation.
I could understnad your advice.
I installed CatTolls to Windows 2008 Server sp1 Japanese Edition.
Because I heard R2 isn't support officially yet.
I changed locale setting from Japanese to English.
I could run telnet.exe and backup-running-config from this environment.
Please this case close.
