Handling multiple alerts for variations of the same failure

I am struggling to find a good way to manage alerts for variations of the same failure.

I have alerts setup for the following...

      1. Alert me with an Application goes into a Warning or Critical State
      2. Alert me when an Application goes down
      3. Alert me when a Component goes into a Warning or Critical State
      4. Alert me when a Component goes down
      5. Alert me when the HTTP Application goes down on Node #5

I have things setup this way because in the cases of 1-4 I want my NOC to be notified.  In the case of 5, my network engineer wants to be specifically notified.  Going forward I will have many cases similar to this one.

      The problem is as follows...

When the HTTP Application on Node #5 goes down alerts 2,4 and 5 all get triggered and show up in my All Triggered Alerts View.  I really don't need these all showing up in my Triggered Alerts view considering that this is only truly one event.  Having a check box when setting up the alert to suppress it from showing up in the Triggered Alerts view could potentially solve this problem.

If anybody else has any suggestions on this I would be interested to hear them.
