Syslog server stops responding

I ran Windows Updates on Vista x64, listed below, and now I can't keep the Syslog server operational:

KB972145 - Update for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems

KB971644 - Platform Updater Windows Vista x64-based Systems

KB960362 - Update for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems

KB971486 - Security Update for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems

 

Ssylog does start, but becomes unresponsive almost immediately.  The following event log entry is noted in the Application log:

Event ID: 1002

Source: Application Hang

Description: The program SysLog-Server.exe version 10.3.0.37 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Problem Reports and Solutions control panel. Process ID: 13a8 Start Time: 01ca58c8f51ae133 Termination Time: 16

 

There are no other Syslog applications installed on the machine, as I am only using the one within Engineer's Toolset v10.3.0.37.  Any help would be appreciated to get this resolved.
