    Nightly Maintenance not compacting database

In the process of trying to figure out why the database always grows to the 2GB limit no matter how conservative my settings, it appears that no "compact" task is taking place during the "Nightly Maintenance" procedure.

My NetPerfMon-Maint-xxxxxxxx.log files seem to indicate that the system is correctly executing a long list of database procedures to summarize data but there is no clear indication that the database is being compacted nightly.

Each NetPerfMon-Maint-xxxxxxxx.log file ends with the following entries:

10/1/2009 2:16:53 AM        Step Completed Sucessfully
10/1/2009 2:16:53 AM        Adding Event for Deleting Events
      10/1/2009 2:16:53 AM
10/1/2009 2:16:53 AM        Step Completed Sucessfully
10/1/2009 2:16:53 AM        Checking SQL Database Size
      10/1/2009 2:16:53 AM
10/1/2009 2:16:53 AM        Step Completed Sucessfully
10/1/2009 2:16:53 AM        Adding Event for Completing Maintenance
      10/1/2009 2:16:53 AM
10/1/2009 2:16:53 AM        Step Completed Sucessfully
      10/1/2009 2:16:53 AM        Archive Complete
      10/1/2009 2:16:53 AM        ----------------

The procedures for the Nightly Maintenance seem to be stored in the "NetPerfMon-Nightly.Maintenance" file.  I may be missing something, but I can't find any reference to a procedure that actually compacts the database in this file.

Has anyone else run into this problem (database never compacts)?

I'm running NPM version 9.2 by the way.
