SW recommends under 8000 per polling engine. I have about 18000 polls across 3 machines and it works like a champ.
I think I saw in 9.5 that the poll tuning is done automatically, but you might want to check that as well.
I'm having a problem that I only have about 5k elements on a polling engine, but it can't keep up consistently. IT's set at the max of 300 polls p and I had to turn Status polling to max and I am still dropping
what version(s) are you running? I've had issues as well and opened a few tickets and have gotten fixed. let me know.
I'm running the new 9.5.1
open a ticket and have them check to see if it may be along the same lines as my ticket...
