send high priority email

No, I don't believe this is possible today

Has this topic been readdressed since this 2009 thread?  

I would really like the ability to add high priority to email alerts as we are using a product on our Android and IOS phones that would allow us to trigger a separate ringtone for high priority emails.  We are currently relying on Blackberry Enterprise Server Level 1 email filters to accomplish the same thing.  Having the high priority tags would allow us to have alerts sent to our admins, regardless of what device they carry, and they would be able to prioritize their work better.

Not a solution, but you could create an Outlook rule to set messages coming from NPM with high importance..

I was actually searching for this setting and never found it, it would be a good to have this option, is it being considered as a feature request?

This is still not possible and yes we do have this in our system as a feature request for a future rev.

Thanks for the response however both BES and the other product are using Exchange superuser accounts that have mailbox admin access and send as permissions in AD.  The emails are then pushed by those accounts to the handheld devices before the client side rule is applied.  

I have thought of applying the client side rule to tag as high importance and then send the message again with the tag on it however this will just cause alerts to go to every device and Outlook client twice creating more work for the Exchange server and probably frustrating the end user.

wouldnt this work with server side rules as opposed to client rules?

We will be testing this later today and I will update here if Server side rules work.
