importing us/world maps

I have seen several posts pertaining to importing maps. I have been tasked to create a high level network overview between locations layed over a map of the world. Saw multiple posts pertaining to map maker. Is this part of the orion network performance package or a separate application?

I already have some maps I would like to use. Can I just import them.

This is apart of the Orion NPM application. Depending on which version you are on, the tool has a different name. 9.1 and before = Map Maker and 9.5 = Network Atlas
Open the app and you can import a background and then associate your nodes etc on the map and have submaps etc.

This is for the new version 9.5, so the app will look different, but the concepts are the same, see here
