Web Node Management - Source IP

I guess I never noticed this until now, but we have recently run into a problem with node management through the Web Inteface.

If our MPLS provider is restricting access to only the Orion server as the source for SNMP the SNMP test and resource lookup will fail. It will fail because the actual source for this communication will be the local workstation of the user.

I had assumed it was proxied through the Orion server but this does not seem to be the case. Is there any option to proxy these requests or will the users have to RDP to the Orion server to access the web node management?

Are you sure about that?
I have all my servers restricted to accepting SNMP from only the poller and I can do node changes/adds without an issue.

It is sent from the Orion server IP. I know this because we have ACL's in place on our network gear and only allow the Orion servers to snmp poll. When I do an snmp test from the web gui its fine. I am thinking your mpls provider doesn't have something setup right.

That's what I though as well but my guy insists it is not the case. I will chase after him and see what is going on.

Brian is correct the SNMP packets are sent only from the Orion pollers on the server.
