In the Web Admin area there's a view resource for use to publish a report from Report Writer dynamically.
Use this SQL code in Report Writer to build the report, give a name and then publish it with that dynamic view - voila!
Nodes.Caption AS NodeName, Nodes.Status AS Status, Nodes.StatusDescription AS Status_Description,Nodes.UnManageUntil AS FutureDate
(Nodes.StatusDescription LIKE '%unmanaged%')
I believe that SQL query will only show a result if the node is already in an unmanaged state. In other words, if it is currently noon and you are going to unmanage a node beginning at 6PM, until 6AM the next morning, this query will return no results. I don't think one can "schedule" an unmanage intervalat this point.
You are right, so I used this query instead and it gave me what I needed.
SELECT Nodes.Caption, Nodes.UnmanageFrom, Nodes.UnmanageUntil, Nodes.StatusDescription
where Unmanaged = 1 or unmanagefrom >= getdate()
Thanks so much, you guys pointed me in the right direction! My problem is solved!
Well, I was partly right. Actually, one can schedule future unmanage intervals in System Manager. But, you are also right that the first query is not quite right. Sorry if I confused you.
that's the point of publishing it dynamically - it will only ever display if there's something set Unmanaged. of course you can always include the From date also.
