    Installed but having some issue

    furbersj

Being very keen to start testing the energywise thing so have installed everything and some candidate switches.

When I click on the reports I get and error message about the reports not being found but it is referencing the wrong directory from what I can see so it wont work. The correct directory is: 'D:\Solarwinds\Orion\Reports' Error below

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'D:\Solarwinds\Orion\Total_Energy_Consumption_and_Savings_Network-Wide_-_Last_7_Days.OrionReport'.

How did you confirm that Energywise was enabled on the device through NCM? Did you check the config on the device or did something else to verify that NCM delivered the config properly? It may also be helpful if you can tell us the device type you are using for the testing.

          Thanks

              Hi Sham

I basically have 13 Cisco 3560-48PS 's added to teh beta server. All running 12.2.(50)SE1. They were configured using Orion NPM/NCM using the Web Console. All are listed as managed. I have tweked the policy of poer levels on one of them to powerdown 24 AP's between 2am and 6am initially to see EnergyWise in action.

The Error I get is from clicking on the reports in the left hand column under the managed deviced in the EnergyWise page. As the error indicates, its looking in teh wrong place for the reportm hence "not found". The graphs on the right are showing the total Power comsumption, correctly (subject to accuracy), so everything does appear to be working. NCM did configure the switches as per the NCM web interface.

Have done very little more as the server I am using is having SQL performance issue whihc I may have to do something about. These weren't there lat night but the server is now running flat out.

              Thanks

              Simon

                  Hi,

Could you run the orion NPM configuration wizard again to try and fix the reports issue?  If it doesn't I will be placing a post soon that explains how to upload diagnostics to leapfile for us.

                  Thanks

Did that and its the same. Error below, plus the CPU issue is making it very difficult to use full stop now.

                          Hi Simon,

Could you check the Reports folder on the account you are using to login?  If you click on Admin -> Account List you should see the "Report Folder" at the bottom of this list for your user.  Make sure that this is set to \Reports for the account you are using.  Also, can you tell which process on your machine is using up all the CPU (you could do this by going to task manager and sorting by CPU on the Processes tab)?

Thanks for doing this beta testing!
