As I'm sure you are aware, today was the Inauguration of the 44th President of the United States. It was an historic day in American history, attended in Washington, DC by millions of people and watched around the world by millions more.
As a regional ISP based in the Washington, DC Metro area, we saw an almost doubling in the amount of inbound traffic to our network due to the live streaming of the Inauguration of Barack Obama. This is NOT a political post. I'm interested in seeing how others' networks handled the increased load.
How much did your inbound traffic increase?
I hate replying to my own posts, but this was supposed to be posted to the Performance Monitoring forum. I am not sure how it got here, as I don't even use the beta tools. Can a moderator move it?
EDIT - Seems to show up in two forums at once.
