    IPAM

Figured I'd start a thread about the SW IPAM solution that is in beta.  Anyway, I'm hoping to install it today but was looking at some other solutions.  Came across this and thought SW might be able to get some ideas from it.

      Cheers!

Anyone have it up and running yet?

      Jeff

Has anyone installed this yet?  Any feedback?

We have Bluecat Networks beating down our door.  Better hurry SW ;)  We kind of figured at 60,000+ for a bluecat product we could just have some write our own damn IPAM.

We installed this and tested it out and it's not too much different than our home-built solution.  The decision in-house was to keep using our own solution because "it works well enough".

One thing that I do like is the ability to keep track of sending RIR registration information.  As an ISP, this is a big thing for us.  Our custom built app does this, but I doubt this is something that SW would put into IPAM.

We have a big list of things we would like to see in this product.  Being very young we are hoping that Solarwinds adds some of these.  Some we will have to have to consider the purchase of this product.
