Supress Syslog Messages

How do I supress syslog messages? I have an alert come up that is indicating back-up power failure and we do not have back-up power connected to that device and would like to supress this message to not pop-up again. I looked in syslog viewer and was unable to find anything to supress this particular message.

You can suppress alerts if that is what you asking or you may try using several syslog filter types-
