Our network consists of about 1000 network devices, approximately 200 of which are WAN devices at well over 100 sites. We took the time and spent the money to build sophisticated geographically-centric maps with weather overlays for all of our sites.
The change in 9.1 where map icons inherit worst-state makes the map useless for our NOC. Why would a small switch outage cause an entire region, like North America, show as red? This behavior doesn't exist in HP Openview or other competing products.
It is such a big deal that we are going back to version 9.0SP2. Please enable, at the least, options to choose state inheritance behavior for maps.
