Can anyone tell me an appropach to trigger alerts on syslog ERROR events that exclude interface up/down entries? Given the poller alerts on a sub-set of (important only) interface transitions, I don't want syslog to alert on these events additionally as this will create duplicate alerts for the one event. I want syslog however to alert on other ERROR events but just not interface transitions. Anyone know the best way to accomplish this?
