Manual database changes don't stay

I am going through and making some changes directly against the DB, such as polling interval and stat collection instead of clicking on the thousands of interfaces to change it. One thing I have noticed is that if I do an update against the Interface table I see the changes take place and then they start reverting back. Any ideas or am I just loosing my mind?

be sure to stop all of your polling engines (shutdown the Network Performance Monitor services) through the Programs-> Orion-> Advanced Features->Orion Service Manager.

Stacy,
Are you using Orion 9.0? With Orion 9, you can make multiple changes via the web UI. You can also change the DB without stopping the poller.
