    Interfaces Unknown

I have used Ifindex persist on my switches for years having used MRTG and Cacti before solarwinds. So I know this is not the problem, I am seeing many physical as well as virtual interfaces on core and distribution layer 6509's and 6513's. Sometimes they come back and at times they go away. Anyone else see this happening? I have tried unmanaging the device and than managing once more without success.

one thing even more odd is on the 6513 that has not changed and has no blade in slot 6 it is reporting 48 fast ethernet ports in an unknown state, even though there is nothing in slot 6.

what is your complete IOS level on that 6513 ?  Can you post a full sh ver; there are around 45 known bugs with ifIndex.
