My configuration is the same, both on the server and on the workstation and the application behaves in exactly the same way -- the product does not work!
Are you logged in as an Admin on the Vista box or a non-Admin account? If it is a non-admin account, would you be able to log in as an Admin and see if it resolves the issue.
On the Vista machine, is UAC enabled? If so can you disable it and try again?
Yes, the computer is a member of the same domain as the server is member of. I'm member of Domain Admins and thereby member of Administrators on workstation and server.
On Vista UAC is enabled.
We're having the same problem here. It just sits at 'Loading', but never displays any information.
- No firewalls between the two machines.
- Logged in as an Administrator.
- Exchange is running on SBS2003
- Client is XP
- Local AD Domain
- Checked WMI with wbemtest and communication is fine.
Does anyone have any other ideas?
The issue of the Monitor stuck in loading phase is a bug that occurs in a specific scenario that relates to the exchange server environment.
Thanks to some of the folks on this post who helped to diagnose and test this issue, we have isolated the bug and tested the fix for it. We are putting together a build that we will post shortly. You should be able to download the updated build and install on top of your current environment.
Please note that a new version of Exchange Monitor (ver 1.0.1) has been posted to the website. This version includes a fix for the issue discussed here. Please be sure to download that version and give it a try.
