cflowd (Juniper) support

Hi, I'm helping a customer configure NTA. He's got a mixed bag of Cisco, Extreme, and Juniper. NTA works just fine for Cisco and Extreme, but it doesn't seem to be working for Juniper. Juniper's "flavor" of NetFlow is currently called cflowd. I can't find any results of I search the forums for cflowd. Apparently Juniper used to call this J-flow. At times jflow/cflow is referenced synonymously. Has anyone had any success in using NTA to monitor cflowd on Juniper? - thanks.

NetFlow v2.2.1 Sp1 will support J-Flow, but cflowd is not currently supported. Found some clarification of the differences here. www.sdsc.edu/.../cflowdfaq.html-
jflow and netflow are essentially identical.
Cflowd is a collector application. To configure it you might take a look at this - www.juniper.net/.../sampling-config20.html

Thanks. How about S-Flow (Extreme)? Tech support replied back to me that it will not be supported until NTA 3.0 which has no ETA yet (which is somewhat confusing because I swear that a pre-sales rep told me that it is supported). Even if/though S-Flow is not supported, has anyone gotten it to work consistently?

Here is more information on that.
"Thank you for contacting SolarWinds Support. As for this issue, there may have been a miscommunication between the sales team and the customer. I consulted with my upper techs to verify and SFlow will not actually be supported until the next release of NetFlow which would be version 3.0. There is no ETA on this release but it expected to be soon. As for the CFlowd, we do not support this version, and there is no expected time for this. Currently as of right now with our release of NetFlow we support CFlow V5 packets. When our next release comes out we support SFlow and CFlow. Thank you again for contacting SolarWinds Support. I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. Please let me know if this answers your question."

Correct, NTA 3.0 which is in beta now will monitor sFlow v5 packets.

We have been testing our new unreleased version 3.0 with Extreme devices and currently do not have outstanding issues against that device. The release is due very soon.

Question... when will the Orion NTA support NetFlow V9?
I have many Adtran NetVanta 1335 Router/Switches I manage. These only run Netflow V9.

I have signed up for the Beta 3.0 --- When will that become production and/or GD? Will it support collecting via different ports?

We're currently in regression testing with the product and all I can say is that it should be out very soon. As for collecting on different ports, you would need more then one collector to do that. That is a feature that we might consider adding in a future though.
