    Read-Write SNMP command not working

I am using a Cisco ASA 5510.  Per the instructions I am supposed to issue the following command to add a read-write community string

      snmp-server community STRINGNAME RW

when I use that command I get an error

ERROR: % Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

The ^ marker is under RW so it doesn't like that RW command.  If I ommit the RW then the command goes through but it's then a read-only community name.

      I would apprecieate any help.

      Thanks!
