Remove previous version of IOS

We currently keep the previous version and the existing version of IOS on our Cisco devices. In looking at using NCM for firmware upgrades, it looks like it will only remove the existing version in order to make room for the new version of IOS. is there a way to make it remove the previous version and leave the current version of IOS?
