Keeping history on decommissioned servers

Is there a way to retain the history on servers that have been decommissioned and deleted from SolarWinds?  I am relatively knew to SolarWinds.  I am looking through the videos but I don't want to "re-invent the wheel" if someone has an answer on this.  It is so much easier to learn from the experience of others.

Just in case - which product(s) are you referring to?

If it is LEM (since this is the LEM forum emoticons_happy.png), when you delete a node from LEM, the data for that node is NOT deleted. All of the data is preserved and data is only recycled based on space available needs.

If we're talking SAM or NPM, I can move your thread to one of those forums and someone can answer more clearly.

  • Yes, we are talking about SAM. As I started the message with I am new to SolarWinds and am pretty unfamiliar with Thwack. Thanks for keeping me straight.
