Main Poller Performance Issues

Hi!

We have got 2 pollers (1 is main and other one additional).

We do have some performance issues, especially the main poller.

For example: We had reboot less than 48 hours ago and i did the following test to check the performance.

I tried to authenticate WMI test on few servers that are being polled through main poller (it timed out).

Tried changing poller (via edit option in each server) from main poller to additional poller . It failed.

However through Manager Nodes i was able to change the poller on same server (one that failed through edit node option).

Now it's changed.

Now i am doing WMI testing, it is passing. on additional poller.

Can you please suggest any fix? because restarting the server every 2 days is not an easy option.

By the way: Main Poller is on Windows 2012 & Additional Poller is on 2016.

I would take a look at this article regarding testing WMI connectivity. I would test it to be able to see a more verbose reason for failure.

As far as not being able to change polling engines through the edit properties on the node I have a feeling you might be experiencing some UI issues that may be caused by a mismatch in .NET Framework. Take a look at the below article

Have you applied all of the TCP reg hacks? This article below saved my stress levels. Immediate stability.
Reg hacks and making sure you have all possible Windows Updates installed are the two most important actions for stability.
