Adding node name to a Virtual Datastore Alert

The 'Virtual Datastore' is using 'Orion.VIM.Datastores'

'Orion.VIM.Datastores' has linkages to 'Orion.VIM.VirtualMachines', which has a link to 'Orion.Nodes'.  I confirmed its visible in the trigger condition editor:

I was not able to find any of the Orion.Node variables in trigger action editor.  I tried manually using "${N=SwisEntity;M=VirtualMachines.Node.NodeName}" that I used based on SWQL but it didnt work.  I hope this is enough to inspire someone else

there will be a variable for sure... i guess with multiple tests it can  be found out.. i will try to check and paste here...

I have also looked everywhere when creating the trigger action (email), and found nothing, Also tried adding the variable manually.  I am assuming it would need to be linked to the right DB table somehow, but I am not a DB expert.

try using 'caption' OR 'display name'.. these 2 will definitely give u the node name detail...

This is exactly why I posted the question, there must be some way to add additional information into the trigger action, especially node details and custom fields, I hope there is someone else out there that has the same issue

Is there not a way that we may use a SQL query to get the Node name into the alert trigger? I am not a DB expert, and thus does not have direct access to the DB to explore and see where this could even be found? !

I would download SWQL studio.  You don't need access to the database directly.  I find it easier to work with SQWL studio because you almost never need to join tables.
