Remove Customize Page menu in NPM 12.2

Since the upgrade to NPM 12.2 we have a "Customize Page" icon in the top left of our main summary page.

When you hover over the icon it pulls out a left side navigation bar.

Is there a way to disable this icon or at least the pop out navigation bar?

We have a list of nodes nested in a list in the top left and if the mouse moves over too far the navigation bar blocks it and this gets annoying fast.

  • I also think this is a feature that should have been left as it was. Not too keen on the changes to Node Management either

  • I agree 100%, the constant presence of the left nav bar is irritating especially on summary pages when 99% of the time all it has is 'Customize Page'.  We don't need a entire left bar to hold one item.  I don't appreciate losing horizontal real estate because devs couldn't find a place for it; Put it back where it was on the top right next to the date/time.  I also enjoy having it in two places... clearly its doable to have in the top right.
