Odd installation error

I am installing the trial of SolarWind's Engineer's Edition Toolset.
Near the end of the instalation, it stops and says that I don't have access to make system configuration modifications, that I should login from an administrator account and run the installation again.

Normally, that advice would be quite self explanatory. However, the fact I'm already logged in as administrator confuses me.

This is on an XP Professional system (Service Pack 2)

Any suggestions would be welcome.

I also get the same error, but with the professional edition tools.
If anyone has a solution, please let me know.
