Loading widget data in Views Issue

Came across a very peculiar situation (NPM 12.2/Orion 2017.3.4 SP4 running on Win2012)

Out of the blue, when browsing Orion web page, some of widgets fail to load and display information and no error is thrown. It only happens when using DNS alias or server's hostname for the Orion web page.

Biggest issue - help desk staff is not able to view into the body of the alerts they are receiving. The custom dashboard displayed outside CTO's office is blank.. Luckily, the workaround with the IP address instead of alias seems to do the trick for the time being.

Both: hostname and alias resolve properly to the assigned IP. When browsing the page using server's IP all works fine and response is very snappy.

Support looked at the DB performance and suggested it's the index fragmentation. We do have fragmented indexes, but we run index defrag along with other maintenance jobs along with backups. Also, checked DB performance in DPA - no issues. Another suggestion was to insert connection details into hosts file on main server and DB cluster. Servers restarted and Config wizard re-run on the main polling engine (also hosts the website). Still nothing. I'm running out of options, support out of ideas, and my boss - out of patience.

Recent change: migrated Solarwinds DB to a new AlwaysOn AG running on Win 2016 & SQL 2016.

Any ideas?
