User Permissions - Mute only, no unmanage?

I'm trying to find the correct set of permissions to allow our developers the ability to mute alerts for applications they maintain, but I can't find a way to provide that access without also allowing them the rights to unmanage objects. We've found conditions in which users are able to accidentally unmanage objects indefinitely with no audit trail. No objects in our system should ever be unmanaged, only muted.

What combination of permissions will allow users to mute but not unmanage?

  • Unfortunately, there is no separate set of permission in which you can give the right to 'only mute' and nothing else along with it. Currently, you have to provide 'Node management' access in order to do so.
