I have several HP switches that I am trying to get into cirrus.
the older HPs Cirrus will not take the password, the newer HPs Cirrus will not take the community string.
Any ideas?

I'm an HP Procurve shop for many years. Still waiting for the Solarwinds team to fully support these units (I think it has been 2 or 3 years). Most devices work pretty well, but there are major issues with the HP Procurve 2524 and Cirrus configuration manager. It is a shame that it happens like this. Cisco is the network leader, so the features in Solarwinds are geared directly toward that product. Then there is a great line of products from HP that don't have nearly the Integration in Solarwinds that Cisco does. I'm sure that I could get Solarwinds in touch with an engineer from HP to get demo products into their hands to get Solarwinds features up to date on the HP systems.

If you are experiencing issues with Cirrus supporting specific HP Procurve devices, then I recommend opening a case with support at https://forms.netsuite.com/app/site/crm/externalcasepage.nl?compid=638609&formid=12&h=3d0552f20b2e9bd6580b. They should be able to help you customize a device template for those devices.
