F5 permissions question

Why do you have to be a SolarWinds Admin to unmanage an F5 pool?  Is there a way to give this permission to other users to unmanage pools?

We have a subset of users that would need these permissions, but we do not want to give them Admin rights.

When a non-admin user attempts to do this they receive the error message:  "Only users with admin rights can remove/add pool members from/into rotation."

These are the process steps that I am talking about:

Choose an F5 node
Scroll down to the 'list of pools' section
Select the appropriate pool
Go to the 'Pool Members' section.
Click the 'Change Rotation Presence' link at top of the 'Pool Members' section

  • This is because theoretically you are adjusting/changing nodes and only SW Admins have full rights to perform this task.

Now you can go in to user permissions and add extended rights for node management within the NPM Settings portion toward the bottom of user settings.
