9.5 Network Performance Monitor Map Refresh

I just upgraded to  NPM 9.5 only to find out that they have reintroduced a problem that existed in one of their past versions.  When you load up a view with a map it now displays a clock like image that rotates while it is loading the map data.  That's ok but every time the map refreshes itself my old map goes away and you get to stare at the clock while it downloads a updated graphic.  I realize you can change the refresh rate to something else but why erase the existing view while you are downloading the new copy?  Just leave the original image there until you are ready to replace it....  I remember this being an issue in a previous version and it was quickly removed after people complained.

Am I the only one who finds this annoying?

  • My maps don't even show up half the time, after the spinning thing goes away, there is no map.  I click refresh and get "An unexpected error occured." where the map should be.  If I keep hitting F5 or ctrl-F5 it eventually show the map, but then 5 minutes later when the auto refresh come, its gone again.  Should we be opening individual tickets for this?

  • My issue was resolved by a re-install of the the OS and Orion.  (my asp.net was all messed up, so Orion had no chance of working right whether with maps or anything else)
