coding in Solarputty window?

Anyone try writing python in a solarputty session (like in a linux vm) and have strange additions/deletions of characters in nano?

I haven't had this issue with other term emulation programs.

Annoying more than anything. Obviously, generally, I'm doing everything in a text editor, but even making small changes to a script is nearly impossible.

  • Try following - open PuTTY - go to Settings->General->Launch PuTTY, in Terminal->Keyboard->'The Function keys and keypad' switch to another option, eg. Linux or VT100+ and save it to 'Default Settings'. Solar-PuTTY then loads the PuTTY’s setting as a default setting for all sessions.
