What is the perspective of the in/out or transmit/receive when I am looking at bandwidth monitor or any other app that shows this kind of information? I looking at a switch port that has my internet traffic coming to it and my campus traffic coming to it, am I seeing the traffic that is coming in from either direction? This switch port is set up in a vlan via the router. Basically vlan xxxx is my internet vlan and switch port xx/1 is in this vlan. This switch port is connected to my ISPs router. So all my internet in/out bound traffic is directed through this port. Any thoughts?
