Create a WPM job to check a webpage and restart an IIS app pool should the webpage not respond.

Afternoon All,


Just a quick Q and I'm hoping someone can help.

I need to check a website which tends to hang via WPM and then should it not respond i.e find some text on the page.  Force a restart of an IIS application pool.

Is this possible, and if so what would be the high level details

New to SolarWinds within my new company, and just looking for a little advise.

  • If you also own SAM and are actively monitoring the IIS site under SAM you might be able to

    do what you are wanting here... There is a default action for restarting IIS apps / pools

    I don't have time to set it up and test it right now but take a look at the below and see if it helps:
