Remote support inst error

Hy guys, during installation RS 12.1.0.34 on windows server 2012r2 the following error appears: Error 1721. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.

You can try the best practice which is to run the command prompt as admin and then run the installer using the command prompt. Any GPOs that might be blocking the installation would be negated.

Hi xamza,
Try running the installer package as Administrator using the 'Run As Administrator' option when you right-click the installer
Try redownloading the installer and trying again, it's possible the installer package failed downloading properly somewhere
If issue persists, try reinstalling the .NET Frameworks you have on this server

Hi.
If you have a previous version installed, remove it before installing the current one.
I had the same problem yesterday, but under a different OS.
