Automate and Schedule Tasks

does anybody know howto automate and schedule different task, for example: scan a subnet (address management) and place the result on a webserver every day. or do an ip snmp scan (netsonar) for a subnet and place the results on a webserver.
this will be very helpful! thanks in advance!
