The majority of my sites are T1's with sub-interfaces. I don't want to get 3 alerts every time the physical interface goes down. I only want to be alerted on the physical interface. I have created a custom field for all of my sub-interfaces.
I have tried the alerting a couple different ways and cant seem to get it figured out.
When I have the alert like this I get emails on the sub-interfaces but not the physical interface.
When I have the alert like this I get inconsistent alerts. For some sites the emails work just like I want. For other sites I get no emails.
