Recover the password for Solarwindsorinoinstaller sql account

I everyone, I would like to know if anyone can assist with recovering the password for the SolarwindsOrionInstaller SQL login account created during the initial installation of Solarwinds. The products have been installed for quite some time now and the engineer in charge as at then is no longer in the organization.

Trying to install additional poller but cannot proceed without this password. Is there a way to either find the old password or is there a way to introduce a new one.

If we can introduce a new one, I would like to know the implication so I can better guide myself just in case other plugin will stop working and if it happens, what I should do?

I would appreciate any assistance from anyone.

It should be no problem resetting the password.
let the config Wizard run and enter the new password in the SQL section.

@eno There is a way to recover that password, and I would encourage you to reach out to Solarwinds support in order to accomplish that task.

sorry but to bother support with what I think @eno is having problems with is a bit overkill I think.
- shut down the Services on Orion Core and all other polling engines
- reset the password for the Database User on SQL (this is a local SQL authenticated User I assume)
- Run the Config Wizard on the Core, adjust Database and enter the new Password
- Run the config wizard on the Pollers, adjust database and enter the new password
done!

Sure you can do that work SQL by resetting the password there or by creating a new user with the required permissions and then running config wizard to change it. That does cause a service interruption, though. If you are looking for a way to get that password without a service interruption, and to recover the password currently in use as is the question, there is a way to do that.
