Could you please provide us more information:
1. How do you start new session? Via Open new tab (Ctrl+T), from quick search bar, from Windows Start menu or from command line?
2. What is your operating system?
3. Are you a standard Windows user or administrator?
Thank you.
Richard
Hi Richard.
1. On a new tab, I double click on a saved session. That spawns a new Putty window – see screenshot below.
2. Windows 10 Enterprise 1803
3. Admin user
Any updates?
Hi psiess,
we were unable to reproduce the issue in our lab. Try reproducing the issue and then could you send us Solar-PuTTY logs and sysinfo export? Here's how you get it:
Solar-PuTTY logs are located in C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Logs\Solar-PuTTY\.
Sysinfo
Send the files to milan.hulik@solarwinds.com
Kind regards,
Milan
Hey Guys,
Are there any updates on this I am having the Same issue
I'm having same trouble. The only way I can get it to actually open in tabs is by right clicking the Solar-PuTTY exe and running as administrator.
Interesting. I am seeing the same thing. When I run Solar-puTTY as Administrator, the terminal window is docked. When I run normally, the terminal opens in a separate window.
Same issue with downloaded version today (10/30/2018). When i double click it opens in a new putty window and not inside solar winds tab. This is normal double click AND right click run as administrator.
I have sent in the settings dump like was asked earlier in this thread, but have not heard back anything.
is there any update at all here?
Guys, this has to be some random bug. I thought that just maybe it was fixed. I clicked the and opened a new tab then double clicked one of my connections and ta-da! there it was in the solarwinds window. HOWEVER, I attempted the same process with a different connection and it still pops up outside of the main window.
It would be nice if someone Solar-PuTTYWeb Help Desk would acknowledge this and try and work with us to find the bug and correct it.
