Node Down report with Duration

Hi,

Please follow the below steps:

Go to Report> Create New Report> Resource- Custome teable> Selection Method- dynamic query builder> NODE> Select Vendor like windows or leave blank or " STATUS IS DOWN">Add columns>

but I think you have got my requirement wrong

I need a report on nodes that are currently down and I need the duration from how long it is down in minutes or days

I don't really need Boot time or lastuptime

it should be like

Hostname  current status  Down from

ABC             Down                  1 day

I created a quick bit of SQL that will do the job for you:

SELECT [NodeID], [IP_Address], [UnManaged], [Caption], DATEDIFF (mi, LastSystemUpTimePollUtc,GETUTCDATE()) AS [Minutes DownTime]   

  FROM [SolarWinds].[dbo].[Nodes]

  WHERE Status = 2

  AND UnManaged = 0

You could use this as your Report's SQL query and then build the table from there.

But it does not work for ICMP polled devices, as they don't have any LastSystemUpTimePollUtcdata.

Thanks for the query it seems to be fine

But I forgot to mention one more requirement

can we able to add hyperlink to Hostnames , if network team click on the node name it should take to node details page

I can able to do it in web based report not sure how to do it in custom/SQL report

I can personally confirm, this doesn't work in 12.2. But yes, once you've upgraded it should work.

Right, I haven't tested this, at home and on the wrong laptop, but it should work.

SELECT NodeID, IP_Address, Caption AS Hostname

     , DATEDIFF (mi, LastSystemUpTimePollUtc,GETUTCDATE()) AS [Minutes DownTime]  

     ,'/Orion/NetPerfMon/NodeDetails.aspx?NetObject=N:'+CAST(NodeID AS varchar(256)) AS [DetailsURL]

FROM [SolarWinds].[dbo].[Nodes]

WHERE Status = 2 -- where 2 = down

AND UnManaged = 0 -- where 0 = managed

This will create the desired DetailsURL column, that your report requires.

Thanks the URL column is added now but It is not working like hyperlink

I mean I can not click on it , it just freezes 

Sorry, don't add it as column. Go to the Hostname column (Edit the table) and click Advanced.

Under there you'll find Add display settings drop down, add Details Page Link and the hyperlink will be the hostname of the device.
